In the Taster Packs this season we introduce our BRAND-NEW Valley Selection range that are yet to be released. Our new Valley Selection range of small batch wines are created from parcels of fruit carefully selected by our winemakers from a single vineyard. Each bottle captures the essence of the growing season and the vineyard, nurtured by our growers, and then passionately crafted by our winemakers into remarkable and age-worthy wines.
Gapsted Estate’s new release High Country 2022 Shiraz was harvested from our Estate vineyard in Gapsted in the cool morning once the low yielding grapes reached optimum flavour and tannin ripeness. This Shiraz is reflective of its cool climate region and the cool 2022 vintage. Intense, lifted aromatics of white clove, florals and alpine herbs transition to red and black fruits of mulberry, plum and blackberry and background nuances of licorice and cocoa. Medium to full bodied, the palate opens with ripe mulberry, plum and blackberry fruit all interwoven with hints of dark chocolate, graphite and five-spice. Delicious to drink now, but also made to be age-worthy, this Shiraz will certainly reward those with patience and who appreciate beauty. Learn more in our new release Blog post.
