This wine showcases the Alpine Valleys wine region and of the Chardonnay wine variety. A seductive nose of white nectarine and peach overlap with lifted florals, toasty oak and praline aromas. The palate unveils pristine and ripe fruit flavours of nectarine, peach and fig, along with complex and integrated oak, nougat and fior di latte. A rich, powerful expression of Chardonnay that is complemented by wonderful mid palate texture, a fine acid backbone and a silky, persistent finish.

The fruit for the 2024 Chardonnay was picked on 27th February at 12.1° baumé. We harvested the fruit in the cool of the night so that the natural flavours and aromatics of the grapes were preserved. The grapes were gently pressed and the juice settled prior to transferring to barrel. The wine was fermented in new and older French oak at cool temperatures to retain the bright, varietal aromatics. Extended ageing and stirring of fine yeast lees contributed extra depth and complexity, allowing a full integration of aromas and flavours to give a palate that glides seamlessly and with great persistence.
THE VINTAGE
The 2024 vintage, shaped by climatic challenges, showcases the skill and resilience of our winemaking team, estate vineyards and grower partners. A wet spring led to a warm, sunny vintage period that was condensed and completed by Easter. While yields were down 20% against long-term averages, the quality of both sparkling, white and red wines excelled, with aromatics, flavours and acidity promising a year of outstanding wines. Our 2024 wines are reflective of their variety and respectful of sense of place, while displaying structure and age worthiness, continuing our pursuit of winemaking excellence.
