This Pinot Noir Rosé is a testament to this region’s cool climate elegance, capturing the essence of its Alpine Valleys origins. Bright, complex acidity complements the natural varietal fruit expression, resulting in a wine of exquisite balance and vibrancy. Aromas of wild strawberry, cranberry and a spicy lift are interwoven with secondary toast and cream characters. The palate reveals layers of intense cherries, savoury raspberry and a touch of blood orange, enhanced by a silky, mouthwatering texture, weight and persistence, and a long complex finish. This wine is ideally suited to Red King Crab served with a bisque sauce.

THE WINEMAKING
The fruit for the 2024 Pinot Noir Rosé was picked on 27th February at 12.8 baumé. Harvesting of the fruit during the early morning in cool temperatures allowed preservation of the natural flavours and aromatics. A portion of free run juice was drained off the must to make this wine. The wine was fermented unclarified in stainless steel with a rosé specific yeast. Extended ageing on fine yeast lees contributed extra depth and complexity while allowing the slow integration of the aromas and flavours on the palate to seamlessly integrate and finish the wine with great persistence.
THE VINTAGE
The 2024 vintage, shaped by climatic challenges, showcases the skill and resilience of our winemaking team, estate vineyards and grower partners. A wet spring led to a warm, sunny vintage period that was condensed and completed by Easter. While yields were down 20% against long-term averages, the quality of both sparkling, white and red wines excelled, with aromatics, flavours and acidity promising a year of outstanding wines. Our 2024 wines are reflective of their variety and respectful of sense of place, while displaying structure and ageworthiness, continuing our pursuit of winemaking excellence.
