We’re still catching our breath after an unforgettable Summer Long Lunch at Gapsted Estate.
The afternoon unfolded exactly as we hoped - settled summer skies, a full dining room, and long tables set for an unhurried seasonal gathering. Guests were welcomed into the Cellar Door & Restaurant for a four-course menu crafted by Head Chef Leon, thoughtfully paced and grounded in the best of summer produce. Each dish allowed the experience to evolve naturally from course to course.
Perfectly matched wines were poured alongside the menu and introduced by our winemaking team, adding insight and conversation without interrupting the relaxed flow. The selections showcased both beloved favourites and distinctive alternative varietals; offering depth while remaining approachable.
With the Estate at capacity, the atmosphere struck a beautiful balance between refinement and ease. Live local music provided a gentle backdrop, conversations flowed across shared tables, and guests lingered well into the afternoon. Just as a long lunch should.
