Selected by the country's top wine writers, this independent award highlights cellar doors that serve first-class food.
Head Chef Trent Krikken, who has led the team to three “Best Food” awards, is thrilled to be acknowledged again. “It’s a real boost for the team after being shut down for much of last year, we’re just so happy to be back in the kitchen doing what we love, designing dishes that showcase North East Victoria’s seasonal produce and highlight our beautiful wines.”
New Cellar Door & Restaurant Manager Holger Rose, who has worked internationally, says the quality of the local produce and the food and wine developed by the Gapsted Wines team is second-to-none. “I’ve worked at a number of international 5-star hotels and I’m proud that what we’re producing here at Gapsted Wines stands up to some of the best restaurants I’ve worked with. During my time here, a highlight has been the interaction with customers and receiving that feedback of how much they enjoy the food and wine we produce. My goal is always to make customers happy and our stellar Cellar Door team are consistently achieving that.”
Our Cellar Door is currently open Thursday - Monday, 11am - 5pm.

Our Autumn A La Carte menu offers even more options - pictured is the Fish of the day, pan fried with spiced warm Autumn vegetables, lentils and yoghurt tartare. It's a winery staff favourite and perfect with our Limited Release 2019 Fiano.
