Happy International Women’s Day from the team at Gapsted Estate! Today we celebrate the amazing jobs that they all do across our admin, finance, customer service, sales, marketing, cellar door, kitchen and winery teams.
We’re proud to support women across all areas of our winery including Rosalia, who is part of our graduate winemaker program.
We first met Rosalia when she joined our 2023 vintage crew and were thrilled to welcome her back to a full time role with the Gapsted Estate team. Rosalia’s biology degree, science background and experience in her family winery in Uruguay combined with her tenacity and can-do attitude has reinforced her as an integral part of our team.
Rosalia is really enjoying in the diversity of the job, from pulling hoses and moving wine to being in the tasting room learning about aromas and flavours and spending time in the lab. She loves the smells of the winery, the grapes, the juice, the ferments and she feels lucky to be learning an artform that humans have been doing for thousands of years. She finds it really grounding - not only the process of making wine, but that the wine you make brings people so much joy.
Rosalia is currently researching with the team where she will complete her overseas vintage, we can’t wait to share that journey with her!
