This Cabernet comes from the Cavicchiolo Vineyard, perched at 350 metres on northeast-facing slopes in the King Valley. Warm summer days and cool alpine nights provide the perfect conditions for Cabernet to thrive, yielding fruit that is deeply coloured, intensely flavoured, and beautifully balanced. It’s this terroir-driven character that has elevated Cavicchiolo to one of the premier vineyards in the region.
In the glass, the Valley Selection 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and brooding, with an expressive nose of blackcurrant, blood plum, and fresh cold-drip coffee, layered with nutmeg and clove spice. The palate follows through with dense black fruit, cedar, and spice, carried seamlessly across every stage. Despite its depth, the wine shows remarkable elegance thanks to its brightness of fruit and natural acidity.
