Our new release 2023 High Country Alpine Valleys Tempranillo is the latest addition to our Tempranillo portfolio. It has intense, lifted aromatics of sweet red pepper, cola nut and star anise that transition to black cherry and blackberry fruits with background nuances of red liquorice and mocha chocolate. Medium to full bodied, the palate opens to a wonderful juxtaposition. The interplay between the varietal fruit, tannins, acid and oak delivers persistence, power and a refined lingering finish. This wine pairs beautifully with classic Spanish tapas dishes such as Patatas Bravas (crispy potatoes in spicy tomato sauce), Albondigas (meatballs) or Empanadas.
