Calzone Capricciosa

Transport yourself to Italy with our Calzone Capricciosa. Originating from Naples, the calzone is a folded pizza that encapsulates a symphony of flavours within its golden crust. A combination of savoury ingredients including tangy tomato sauce, thinly sliced ham, fresh mushrooms, olives and creamy mozzarella, baked in a golden brown pocket pair exceptionally well with the Valley Selection Fiano. The aromas of fresh lime, honeysuckle and a hint of tropical fruits, interplays with the savoury elements of the dish to create a memorable wine and food pairing.

Braised pork belly with pumpkin, sage & pea risotto

Quintessentially Italian, risotto embodies the essence of Italian cuisine. The pork belly’s natural richness is complemented by the subtle sweetness of pumpkin, the earthy aroma of sage and the vibrant freshness of peas. The harmonious blend of flavours are further enhanced by the Valley Selection Sangiovese, with a burst of exotic spice giving way to black cherries and blackberry, polished in texture with fine, persistent tannins. It will leave you craving more.
