This Grand Manseng displays a lively golden green colour. An aromatic white, clean and fruit driven with weight and complexity. It has honeysuckle, pear and citrus aromatics which are naturally mirrored on the palate. The palate has a richness and power, balanced with natural acidity that this variety does so well.

“A ripping drink here. Scents of frangipani, nashi pear and lime while the palate is a bit richer than that with ripe, green pear notes some preserved lemon and a cool, almost briny mineral character refreshing each sip. It’s charismatic, summery and vibrant, marching to its own beat and generally delightful. Gapsted Showing off now.” 93 points Mike Bennie, WBM Magazine, Mar/Apr 2023

“Straw in colour and while in some ways tart and racy there’s good volume of flavour here. It’s refreshing and satisfying at once. Citrus rind, wax and grapefruit flavours put on a convincing show. This is good.” 92 points Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

“Nose of mandarins and apricots with a lean, high acid palate and “appropriate” phenolics.” 90 Points Winestate Magazine Emerging Varietals Wine Show

"Grand (or gros) manseng has French origins, but certainly strikes a chord in Victoria as one of the Alpine Valleys' more engaging alternative varieties. Here, it delivers delightful aromatics, spicy notes and smooth textural appeal. Spring blossom, honeysuckle, yellow peach and nectarine aromas. Takes a serious turn on the palate with stewed apple, pear, lively spice and more. Runs long, smooth and deep, finishing clean. Plenty to like here." Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion
