The Valley Selection 2024 Arinto is a wine of great exuberance and individual poise with a multitude of aromas and flavours. Arinto is a popular native Portuguese white grape that is commonly found in white blends throughout the country. Arinto grapes produce wines with extremely high acidity and are often added to lower-acid wines to improve the blends. In the vineyard, Arinto is a late-ripening, medium-sized yellowish grape that grows in tightly packed bunches. The vines have very large leaves which contributes to its heat resistant and the vine’s ability to grow well in dry regions.
On the nose our Arinto displays aromas of white nectarine, pawpaw, kiwifruit with a yuzu lift. The palate has a mouthwatering and bright entry, underpinned by flavours of green nectarine, dragon fruit, crab apple, yuzu and kiwifruit. A symphony of primary fruit expression, yet all the traits of the noblest of wines: persistence, depth and complexity.
Pinot Blanc is a white wine celebrated for its refreshing character and subtle complexity – a delightful mutation of Pinot Noir that offers a unique balance of ripe fruit and creamy texture. Our Valley Selection 2024 Pinot Blanc is a wine of presence and understated power. The wine offers up sweet aromas of sweet purée of apple and pear, honeydew melon with a background canvas of complex yeast aromas. The powerful palate impresses with its weight, breadth and length. Flavours of ripe pear and loquat sit on the full palate that is carried by the yeast aging and alcohol viscosity influences. A wine demanding food: Pork Loin and cider braised leeks and apples.
