Our High Country 2024 Chardonnay is a stunning reflection of the Alpine Valleys region, capturing the true essence of its unique terroir through a beautifully crafted Chardonnay. The wine opens with an alluring bouquet of white nectarine, peach, and delicate florals, complemented by toasty oak and praline aromas. On the palate, ripe fruit flavours of nectarine, peach, and fig shine, enriched by integrated oak and a hint of nougat. A touch of fior di latte adds a creamy smoothness, elevating the experience.
This Chardonnay strikes a perfect balance between richness and freshness, with a silky mid-palate texture and a fine acid backbone. Gapsted Estate’s High Country 2024 Pinot Noir is handcrafted with passion and precision, this wine beautifully showcases the rugged beauty of the Alpine Valleys. Harvested under the cool night sky on 27th February, the grapes were cold-soaked, fermented with a special Burgundian yeast, and aged in French oak barrels. The result? A wine brimming with complexity and finesse.
Expect an enticing bouquet of ripe cherry, forest fruits, and delicate florals, with a hint of spicy toasted oak. The palate delights with juicy cherry, boysenberry, and roasted coffee, all supported by a fine, textured body and crisp acidity. The long, spicy finish is a true testament to the skill and dedication of Gapsted Estate's winemaking team. Perfect for pairing with rich duck liver pâté, this Pinot is an age-worthy gem, ageing gracefully over the next 12 years.
